Lualaba – Diplomacy: Fifi Masuka Meets with the Belgian Vice-Consul
The Governor of Lualaba, Fifi Masuka Saini, received a delegation from the Kingdom of Belgium on Monday, February 2, 2026. The delegation was led by the Vice-Consul of Belgium in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Alexis Schoutheete.
The discussions, primarily economic in nature, focused on the development of the Lobito Corridor, a strategic project for the DRC and a major driver of growth for Southern and Western Africa.
The Head of the Provincial Executive outlined her vision for economic governance, particularly regarding mineral transport expected to pass through this corridor linking the DRC to Angola.
Commending the province’s leadership, the Belgian delegation expressed its willingness to strengthen long-term partnerships with Lualaba.
